E-commerce Planner
to develop and execute merchandise planning strategies that drive sales and profitability within their e-commerce platform.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$100,000 - $115,000
Position Overview:
This E-commerce Planner role will work closely with cross-functional teams, analyze sales data, and manage inventory to ensure that products are available when and where they are needed, ultimately optimizing the online shopping experience for customers. The E-commerce Planner partner with retail merchants to enhance site content and improve visibility using key search terms and product pinning strategies.
Responsibilities of the E-commerce Planner:
Design and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards to track performance against key performance indicators (KPIs)Analyze e-commerce sales trends and data to identify patterns and growth opportunitiesMonitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstock or stockoutsImplement effective inventory allocation strategies across multiple sales channels and locationsDevelop seasonal merchandise plans with a focus on peak sales periods, holidays, and promotional eventsPrepare and manage annual budgets and financial plans for e-commerce initiativesMonitor financial performance against targets, providing recommendations for improvementUtilize e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems to track product performance and make data-driven decisionsLead the planning and execution of future season buys and merchandise strategies (style, color, size)Optimize product item pages for SEO to improve search rankings and site visibilityRegularly monitor product availability and collaborate with customer service to address any stock issuesQualifications for the E-commerce Planner:
5+ years of e-commerce experience (experience with Walmart or children's apparel is a plus)Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both retailers and senior leadershipExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams including design, product development, and store planningProficiency with e-commerce platforms and inventory management systemsStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data to inform merchandising decisionsExperience developing product assortments based on market trends and sales performanceAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to solve complex problemsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF) and PowerPointStrong retail math skills, including margin, turn, and return on investment calculationsEducation Requirements:
