Oracle Database Specialist
to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia. This role is crucial in managing, optimizing, and securing our Oracle database systems to support our enterprise applications and data-driven initiatives. You will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle databases, ensuring high performance, availability, and security across all database systems.Key Responsibilities:Database Architecture and Design:Design and implement Oracle database architectures that meet business requirements for high availability, scalability, and performance.Develop and optimize database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and other database objects.Database Administration:Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.Monitor and maintain database systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Manage database storage structures and perform capacity planning.Performance Tuning and Optimization:Analyze database performance metrics and implement tuning strategies.Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations to improve performance.Backup and Recovery:Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies.Perform regular backups, restorations, and disaster recovery drills to ensure data integrity and availability.Security and Compliance:Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard data against unauthorized access and breaches.Manage user access controls, roles, and privileges.Ensure compliance with data governance policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Data Integration and Migration:Support data integration initiatives, including ETL processes and data warehousing.Assist in migrating legacy systems to Oracle platforms when necessary.Documentation and Collaboration:Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and changes.Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to support database needs.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.Continuous Improvement:Stay current with the latest Oracle technologies, industry trends, and best practices.Recommend and implement improvements to enhance database systems and processes.Required Skills and Experience:Citizenship:Must be a U.S. citizen.Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of

of experience in Oracle database administration and management.Proven experience with Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and newer.Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in Oracle Database technologies, including SQL and PL/SQL programming.Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and Automatic Storage Management (ASM).Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager and Recovery Manager (RMAN).Knowledge of performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability solutions.Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).Understanding of network architecture and security principles.Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.Soft Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.Proactive approach with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.Certifications (Preferred):Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Database Administration.
