Job Description
The
Senior Corporate HR Manager
will lead people and culture priorities, and design and execute strategic initiatives that nurture multiple corporate business units. The person in this role will identify Human Resources and organizational development opportunities, and design, develop, and deliver solutions that meet the business’ needs in the areas of career planning and development, talent management, workforce planning, performance management, coaching and counseling, strategic workforce planning, interpretation and application of policy and procedure, facilitating effective communication, succession planning and organizational strategy and development. This position will collaborate with Public Storage’s Executive Leadership and HR Centers of Excellence to develop and deliver solutions that meet corporate business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with corporate senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support corporate business objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor to corporate business leaders on HR-related matters, including talent management, organizational development, and employee relations.
Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and performance within the corporate environment.
Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures for corporate teams.
Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
Leverage business acumen to provide thought leadership and consultation/support on people and organizational issues within the corporate context.
Collaborate with corporate senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that drive corporate business success.
Actively participate with and influence corporate senior leaders, advising on people and organization impact of business plans and decisions; ensure that organizational change and transformation plans are established and effectively executed.
Provide expert HR guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and other talent development initiatives for corporate teams.
Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, fostering a workplace culture that values and promotes DEIB at all levels of the corporate organization.
Work closely with corporate people leaders on performance management, coaching, and employee development.
Act as a trusted advisor to corporate employees and management to solve complex employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion.
Anticipate future trends and create competitive and creative talent strategies and plans that drive operating results and employee engagement within the corporate environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior HR role.
Proven experience in corporate business partnership and strategic HR management.
Strong understanding of corporate business operations and the ability to align HR strategies with corporate business goals.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels.
Trustworthy HR professional with the ability to handle and maintain a high level of confidentiality and common sense regarding sensitive employee information
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Working knowledge of employment law including FMLA, EEO, ADA, FLSA, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
