Job Summary

This is a financial systems role specializing in Aderant Expert. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of ownership, knowledge of Aderant Expert, and an understanding of core accounting principles.

Essential Functions

Involvement in all upgrades and improvements of Aderant Expert and related programs, including regression testing, modifications, new table creations, and reporting.Coordinate, in conjunction with finance team leads, the Aderant backend system processes and modifications/releases, including test plans, change control, process documentation, etc.Oversee the month-end close, including prebill generation and provide on-call support as needed to assure a timely and smooth monthly system close.Heavy involvement in system testing of financial processes for reliability and effectiveness.Collaborate with internal JL Business Services teams with a focus on financial processes.Lead the financial systems team to identify areas of improvement and recommend changes to improve efficiencies.Identify and prioritize areas of improvement to promote greater productivity, reporting and processes throughout the firm.Lead coordination efforts with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors.Qualifications/Skills Required

5+ years of experience working in Aderant Expert with administration and configuration capabilities, preferably in a large law firm.3+ years of experience with SQL and T-SQL programming.Experience working with Intapp products is preferred.Proven experience in effectively communicating and collaborating with business stakeholders, firm leaders, and technical staff.Strong leadership, people and project management skills and an ability to identify and implement solutions to increase productivity and efficiencies.Understanding of core accounting principles as they relate to the management, customization, and troubleshooting of Aderant Expert.Ability to customize and provide technical support for Aderant and other related financial applications.Understanding of ETL data flows and data warehousing.Experience with financial analysis and reporting tools.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Ability to successfully engage in multiple tasks simultaneously.Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field

The expected compensation for this position depending on location is as follows: Westchester County, NY: $135,700-$168,600; Seattle, WA: $131,400-$166,800. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
