Overview

A San Diego-based architectural studio is currently looking for a Job Captain to join its collaborative team environment. In this full-time position, you will work directly with principals and project managers on architectural projects, primarily multi-family housing and education projects. As a team member, you'll be involved in all project phases, attend job sites, participate in meetings, and have diverse responsibilities, with opportunities for growth through mentorship in our close-knit, collaborative atmosphere.

Over the past 30 years, this twenty-nine-person studio has won many awards for its diverse portfolio including affordable housing, mixed-use infill development, historic reuse, charter schools, university, civic, and urban planning projects. Job Captain/Architect Responsibilities:

Generation and organization of the Revit model within the office and with project consultantsDevelopment and coordination of construction documents, including project detailing and basis of designKnowledge of and coordination of applicable building and zoning codes into construction documentsCoordination of the consultant teamManage the permitting and plan check process with various jurisdictionsAssist with establishing project schedules, deliverables, and milestonesAssist with coordinating and assigning team tasks, goals, and deliverables within the teamAssist with coordination and Quality Assurance reviewsAssist in design and design presentationsAssist in the coordination of construction administration effortApplicants must have the following qualifications:

Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited programMinimum 5 years experience in an architectural office preferredDemonstrated advanced knowledge and experience in RevitExperienced in wood-frame multi-family housing in California preferredExperience in higher education and/or campus planning is a plus!Experience with technical aspects of architecture and assembling construction documentsExperience with construction administrationKnowledge of state and local building and zoning codes, including accessibilityAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamAbility to self-start and stay on task with excellent organizational and time management skillsSensitivity to design and aestheticsExperience using Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Microsoft OfficeOffer Package :
