our role in our success:Manages the Chesapeake Systems Team and coordinates all systems, servers, cloud, and related platform infrastructure. Lead operations and project activity to meet client needs. Ensures that the standards and procedures are established and followed during design and implementation of related activities.What you'll be working on:Leads and manages the systems team, providing day to day guidance to a team of highly skilled technical experts, pulling in the right resources to resolve issues if unable to resolve.Monitors and manages all systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance.Evaluates and corrects any systems issues and provide related root cause analysis withcorrective actions.Manages the acquisition, installation, maintenance, performance, monitoring, security and access policies of servers and related data center and cloud infrastructure.Analyzes products and recommends use of new products to management.Partners with risk and governance along with internal audit to ensure compliance across systems and related process and policies.Executes on existing technology roadmap and strategy as well as develops and documents future strategic plans.Manages workload and a budget for the infrastructure team for enhancements and projects across as well as support application projects.Focuses on modernizing platforms and ensuring the company is following industry best practices while highly focused on secure solutions. Identifies legacy debt and build plans to modernize.Develops information system strategies by determining accountabilities; policies, procedures and controls.Develops and implements disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans (BCP) for both on-premises and cloud environments. Conducts regular DR/BCP testing to ensure preparedness for potential disruptions.Works with Microsoft partners to assess cloud opportunities for on-prem workloads.Interfaces with company leadership and outside vendors to provide services and solutions.Provides escalation support to direct reports as well as escalation support to service desk with regards to trouble tickets.Maintains server equipment in data center and remote locations, ensures they are in order and supporting devices are maintained.
Who you are:Bachelors' degree in Information TechnologyFive (5) years expertise in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, including Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, M365, Exchange, SQL Server, Commvault, Citrix, SharePoint, Physical DC hardware, virtualization, and storage.The required five (5) years must include three (3) years of experience managing a team of IT professionals.Microsoft Azure migration experience highly preferred.Valid Class E driver's licenseFirm understanding of systems support and act as subject matter expert, for the team through training staff, manage services, consulting, or other means.Advanced knowledge of data and voice networks and communication infrastructures and server technologies.Strong knowledge of vendor communications and purchasing of hardware and software.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven leadership skills.Advanced oral and written communication skills.Advanced skills in management, employee communications and interpersonal professional relationships.
