Sr. Data Migration Analyst - EDW

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Migration Lead to oversee and manage the data migration processes for our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management, migration strategies, and data warehousing. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless transition of data from legacy systems to our state-of-the-art EDW, contributing to the organization’s data-driven decision-making capabilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the data migration project from planning to execution, ensuring timely and accurate data transfer.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data architects, business analysts, and IT professionals, to define migration requirements and strategies.
Develop detailed data migration plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Identify and document data sources, data mapping, and transformation rules.
Oversee the data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring data integrity and quality.
Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices.
Conduct data validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and completeness post-migration.
Regularly update stakeholders on migration progress, challenges, and milestones.
Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the data migration framework.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data management and warehousing.

Must be a US citizen due to contractual requirements
YOU MUST HAVE
3+ years of experience in data management, with a focus on data migration and data warehousing
3+ years of ETL processes, data modeling, and database design
WE VALUE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred
Experience independently leading data migration projects working with business and data & analytics stakeholders
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., SAP BW, HANA, and Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
Certification in data management or related fields.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
