Job Description

The Business Data Analyst role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate definition and execution of Risk requirements according to the Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and Standard (CDGS).The role reports into the Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL) Lead in Enterprise Risk Managements Data & Technology.The Business Data Analyst positions responsibilities include but are not limited to identifying gaps in data quality controls to reduce risk, partner and collaborate with ERMs data consumers on data quality remediation challenges; document data flows, processes, and procedures; ensuring data requirements are implemented, and that focus remains on the scope and commitments of each phase of the Risk Consent Order Data Quality Plans to ensure proof of Risk Reduction.Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of risk processes, systems and reporting, the Data Operating Model, and a solid conceptual/practical grounding in Enterprise Risk Management.Requires excellent data analysis skills, in addition to strong presentation / communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.Responsibilities

Drive execution of critical aspects of data governance policy and data strategy.Partner with data consumers to agree on the scope of critical data quality challenges and ensure that the data operating model is implemented to reduce data risk.Remediate issues partnering with various business and technology functions.Help build a deep, comprehensive, and documented understanding of key data, data processes, and data flows.Partner with business data owners required to ensure maintenance of key artifacts and overall data quality improvements.Lead the consolidation of disparate information about the data, as well as ensure a sustainable understanding of how data flows through op
