POSITION PURPOSE
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production process of various cosmetics products, including liquids, hot pours, and powders. Your expertise in managing cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food production will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality standards and operational efficiency within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire production process of cosmetics products, including liquids, hot pours, and powders, from raw material sourcing to finished product packaging.
Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective manufacturing operations.
Manage production staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices during the manufacturing process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Research and Development, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to optimize production processes and product quality.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Monitor production metrics and KPIs, regularly reporting on performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate production records and documentation for audits and regulatory purposes.
Manage inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess stock.
Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the manufacturing process.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Technology, or related disciplines.
Proven experience 5 years in managing production operations within the cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food industries.
In-depth knowledge of cosmetics production processes, including liquids, hot pours, and powders.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively leading production teams.
Demonstrated ability to maintain high-quality standards while meeting production targets.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant industry regulations.
Familiarity with production management software and tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced and high-volume manufacturing environment.
