The Production Manager position is with a leading manufacturer of innovative products designed for oil spill cleanup and environmental remediation. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. Position Overview: The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process for our oil spill cleanup products. This includes managing production schedules, optimizing efficiency, ensuring product quality, and leading a team of production staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing management, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality assurance. Schedule: Monday Friday 7: 00am 4: 00pm. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning and Scheduling: o Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization. o Coordinate with the sales and supply chain teams to ensure accurate forecasting and timely delivery of products. 2. Quality Assurance: o Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet regulatory standards and customer specifications. o Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and address any quality issues. 3. Process Optimization: o Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the manufacturing operations. o Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and reduce waste. 4. Team Leadership: o Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production staff to achieve production targets and quality objectives. o Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge. 5. Health and Safety Compliance: o Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies within the manufacturing facility. o Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement in workplace practices. 6. Inventory Management: o Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of raw materials and finished goods. o Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying costs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. Proven experience in manufacturing management, preferably in a similar industry such as product manufacturing or environmental remediation. Strong understanding of production planning, quality assurance, and process optimization principles. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives by minimizing waste within manufacturing systems while maximizing productivity. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software systems.
