Apex is seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in commercial, multifamily, senior living and assisted living projects for new construction, TI buildout and renovations/CapEx. This role is crucial in driving our business development efforts, identifying new sales opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the commercial and multi-family sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development

1.1 Generate leads in commercial and multifamily sectors through:

Attending industry networking events and conferencesCultivating a referral network among satisfied clients and industry partnersLeveraging online platforms such as LinkedIn and industry-specific forumsConducting targeted outreach campaigns to potential clients1.2 Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to expand market presence:

Identify untapped market segments or geographical areas for expansionCreate tailored value propositions for different client types (e.g., property managers vs. developers)Establish partnerships with complementary businesses (e.g., real estate firms, interior designers)1.3 Cultivate long-term client relationships:

Regularly engage with clients through personalized communicationOffer insights on industry trends and potential property improvementsHost or sponsor client appreciation events1.4 Represent company at industry events:

Deliver presentations or participate in panel discussions to showcase expertiseMan exhibition booths at trade shows, effectively demonstrating company offeringsNetwork strategically to build brand awareness and generate new leads2. Client Acquisition and Management

2.1 Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders:

Property owners and investors in the commercial and multifamily sectorsRegional and local property management companiesReal estate developers focusing on commercial and multifamily projectsArchitects and designers specializing in these property types2.2 Conduct thorough needs assessments:

Schedule on-site visits to understand property conditions and challengesInterview key decision-makers to grasp their vision, budget, and timelineAnalyze historical property data and future market projections2.3 Propose tailored renovation solutions:

Collaborate with internal teams to create customized renovation packagesPrepare and deliver compelling presentations highlighting ROI and value-addOffer creative solutions that address both aesthetic and functional needs2.4 Negotiate and secure sales contracts:

Guide clients through the contract process, addressing concerns proactivelyWork with legal team to ensure all terms are clear and mutually beneficialClose deals efficiently while maintaining positive client relations2.5 Maintain high customer satisfaction:

Establish clear communication channels throughout the project lifecycleConduct regular check-ins to ensure project milestones are metAddress any issues promptly, coordinating with internal teams as neededFacilitate post-project reviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement3. Market Intelligence

3.1 Monitor industry trends and competitor activities:

Regularly analyze market reports and economic indicators relevant to commercial and multifamily real estateTrack competitor pricing, service offerings, and marketing strategiesAttend industry conferences and webinars to stay informed on emerging trendsSubscribe to and study trade publications and research papersDevelop a network of industry contacts to gather informal insights3.2 Stay informed on new products and technologies:

Research innovative materials and construction techniques that could benefit renovation projectsEvaluate new property management technologies that might influence renovation decisionsExplore sustainable and energy-efficient solutions gaining traction in the marketAssess the potential impact of smart home/building technologies on renovation projectsKeep abreast of changing building codes and regulations that may affect renovation practices4. Cross-functional Collaboration

4.1 Liaise with project managers and design teams:

Facilitate initial meetings between clients and internal teams to ensure clear communication of project visionTranslate client requirements into actionable project specificationsParticipate in regular project status meetings to address any client concerns or changesAct as a bridge between client expectations and technical feasibility, negotiating compromises when necessary4.2 Work with estimating team on pricing:

Provide detailed project requirements to ensure accurate cost estimatesCollaborate on developing competitive pricing strategies for different market segmentsAssist in creating tiered pricing options to give clients flexibilityCommunicate market intelligence to inform pricing decisionsWork on special pricing arrangements for high-value or strategic clients4.3 Relay client feedback to internal teams:

Establish a systematic approach to collecting and documenting client feedback throughout the project lifecycleOrganize and present client insights in team meetings to drive continuous improvementIdentify recurring themes in client feedback to inform product development and service enhancementsCollaborate with marketing team to develop case studies based on successful projects and positive client experiences4.4 Coordinate with project management to ensure client satisfaction:

Conduct joint client meetings with project managers at key project milestonesAssist in managing client expectations regarding timelines, budgets, and potential disruptionsCollaborate on developing and implementing client communication plans for each projectWork with project managers to quickly resolve any issues that may impact client satisfactionParticipate in post-project reviews to assess performance and identify areas for improvement in future projectsQualifications:

Driven and persistent, not shy.Proven sales experience in the construction industry, specifically in multifamily and commercial renovationsStrong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships5+ years of sales experience, specifically within the construction industry, with a focus on multifamily renovations and commercial.Strong understanding of the renovation process, building materials, and current trends in apartment renovations and commercial.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.Self-starter with the ability to work independently.Availability to travel as needed.Benefits/Perks

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
