Position Description
The Manager - Restaurant Systems Administration will be responsible for managing and optimizing all technology systems within the restaurant, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management, and other operational software. This role will work closely with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and support staff training on technology tools.
Essential responsibilities will include:
Systems Oversight: Manage the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of all restaurant technology systems, ensuring they function effectively and efficiently.
Technical Leadership: Lead technical support initiatives, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolutions to minimize operational disruptions.
Staff Training & Development: Design and implement training programs for staff on technology systems, ensuring comprehensive understanding and effective use.
Process Improvement: Analyze existing processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending technological solutions to enhance efficiency.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor data integrity, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to management for better decision-making.
Vendor Management: Liaise with technology vendors for system upgrades, maintenance, and support services, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
Security & Compliance: Ensure that all systems comply with industry standards for data security, including safeguarding customer information and payment data.
Project Management: Lead technology-related projects, from planning to execution, to enhance restaurant operations.
Inventory Management: Oversee the integration and management of inventory systems, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient stock control.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in a management role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of POS systems and related restaurant technologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational efficiency.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
Familiarity with inventory management and workforce scheduling software is a plus.
Understanding of data security practices and compliance standards.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
