Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills to support end users at all levels of the organization, including C-level executives. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, focusing on Office 365, Azure, Exchange, Group Policy, and datacenter infrastructure. Your role will be critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing IT policies and security measures.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist end users with technology needs in a hybrid work environment with on site support in our Boston based headquartersOffice 365 administration: manage and assist with user account management, Sharepoint, Teams, Onedrive, managementManage InTune policies and deploy software to company Windows devicesAssist with end user Windows & Mac onboarding process, ensuring proper configuration of user accounts, permissions, and access rightsAssist with end user Macbook troubleshootingAssist with JAMF Mac policiesManage and modify InTune Compliance policies to keep up with industry best practicesExchange Server Administration: Manage and maintain the Exchange Online environment, including email flow, distribution lists, and security policiesGroup Policy Management: Create, modify, and troubleshoot Group Policies to enforce IT policies, user rights, security, and system configurations across the networkTCP/IP network troubleshootingManage and deploy hardening policies on workstations and serversAssist in deploying patches via Automox, creating and setting up device and server patching policiesAzure Management: Oversee Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) administration, including user and group management, single sign-on (SSO) configurations, and other cloud services within the Azure environmentAssist with ThreatLocker application requests and help set company wide ThreatLocker policies of applications to allow/denyAssist with access and troubleshooting Perimeter81 VPN loginAssist end users with obtaining access to applications from our IT Service catalogAssist with compliance audits and ensure that systems adhere to regulatory requirementsProvide training to staff on new systems and software updates. Maintain IT documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Work with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement new solutions as neededAbility to work in collaborative team environmentBeing reachable during your business hours unless proper arrangements have been madePromptly attend web conference calls and willing to collaborate remotelyJob Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)4+ years of experience with strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologiesExperience working in a hybrid cloud environment with Office 365, Azure and datacenter server environmentsExperience with security assessment tools and methodologiesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to support end users of varying technical expertise, including C-level executivesHave reliable internet connection for hybrid-remote workKnowledge of cloud security concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) preferredRelevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent are preferred
