Position Overview
The Director of Commercial Finance will play a crucial role in driving the financial performance of our commercial operations. This position will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, focusing on optimizing pricing strategies, profitability, and revenue growth. The successful candidate will provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making and long-term planning. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering results that align with our company's growth objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Leadership:
Partner with commercial teams to develop and execute financial strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability across the organization.Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
Oversee the annual budgeting process, and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop accurate forecasts and long-term financial models for the commercial division.Profitability Analysis:
Lead efforts to analyze product margins, customer profitability, and pricing models. Provide insights to improve profit margins and drive cost optimization initiatives.Revenue Growth:
Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for revenue expansion, including pricing strategies, new business models, and geographic expansion.Business Partnering:
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align financial goals with commercial objectives. Provide recommendations that influence key business decisions.Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate financial risks within the commercial business, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Team Leadership:
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.Financial Reporting:
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a commercial finance function.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and profitability analysis.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.Strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence decision-making at the executive level.Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, etc.).Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements.Core Benefits
