As an Advanced Modeling Sr. Engineer/Technologist at Micron, you will employ techniques and theories drawn from areas of computational geometry, process modeling, semiconductor sciences and engineering to build predictive models and provide timely insights to node development teams.
This role will interact with experienced Advanced Modeling Engineers, PI, Process Engineers, and IT teams to develop algorithms and automated modeling workflow. There will be significant opportunities to perform new solution development activities.
The Advanced modeling technologist will be responsible for predictive virtual structure modeling across multiple DRAM, HBM, and NAND nodes. The modeling engineer will collaborate extensively with PI and process teams for structure/yield model development, deployment, and providing solutions to be implemented on Si.
In this role, you will also guide platform development and data integration. You will provide insights from modeling and data; interpret and communicate findings from analysis and experiments to engineering teams and leaders.
What you will bring to Micron:
Experience in computational geometry and structure modeling
Advanced skills in level sets, meshing, FEA, DOE, analysis, rendering
Experience with Silvaco, SPX, SEM3D
Established skills in building semiconductor process flows.
Experience with user documentation, reports, and presentation to managers and leaders
Predict and advise on structural challenges ahead of Si
Handle face-to-face interactions with all internal partners/collaborators in Boise, Idaho.
Strong software development skills.
Process development or integration background.
Requirements for this position:
BS, M.S., or PhD Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
5-10 years of proven experience in semiconductor industry.
Knowledge of semiconductor processes and integration
Proven expertise in structure or CAD modeling.
Solid Python experience.
Excellent communication skills.
This role provides flexibility! You may work remotely one day per week.
