Looking for applicants with financial/accounting background.
Job Description
The person in this position serves as a liaison between the Kansas Governor's Grants Program (KGGP) and agencies awarded grant funds. This position is responsible for administering and analyzing multiple grants administered by the KGGP. Key duties include examining records and documents to ensure compliance with grant requirements, relevant laws, and policies applicable to the grant programs. The Analyst position follows a hybrid work schedule.
Analyst Duties
Responsible for reviewing grant files, internal work processes as it pertains to the grant award, and management procedures associated with the grant project. Complete on-site visits with staff involved with the grant project where the Analyst will review: The position may require technical assistance to any agency receiving grant funds that may request it or where it is required to ensure compliance. Technical assistance provided via phone, email, and on-site visits with the agency staff. Assist in providing training regarding KGGP grant programs. May be required to attend various meetings concerning the grant program or meetings as requested and approved by the KGGP Administrator. Any other duties as directed by the KGGP Administrator. Required:
Accounting or financial background and education preferred Strong fiscal management skills Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to travel including overnight stays, traveling is approximately 20 percent of work time Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel The ability to work both independently and in a team setting Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines Willingness to take on administrative tasks as needed Contact
