The Senior Information Security Engineer plays a crucial role in safeguarding the patient experience by ensuring the security of information systems. This position leverages extensive experience in engineering information security applications and systems to maintain compliance with Children's National Hospital IT standards. Responsibilities include configuring, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting security systems to meet performance and functional requirements. Hands-on experience with technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Bitlocker, InTune, Entra ID, DLP, Host-based Network Access Control, and Tanium is essential. Familiarity with CMDB and asset tracking in ServiceNow is a plus.
Qualifications:Minimum EducationBachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in a computer science, math, engineering, or another relevant discipline or equivalent training and work experience (Required)
Minimum Work Experience
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on engineering and implementation of cybersecurity controls, systems, and applications (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
