What you’ll do as a Safety Manager
You will manage, coordinate and facilitate in the following functions: Issue safety equipment, conduct safety training programs, conduct onsite inspections of premises or equipment, investigate accidents or injuries
You will monitor and enforce Health & Safety/OSHA and DOT Compliance while interfacing with employees
You will participate in and/or facilitate all program activities, including but not limited to regular conference calls, workshops, compliance audits, reporting, etc
You will conduct periodic audits to measure compliance and overall program effectiveness
You will evaluate safety performance of employees and subcontractors; document violations
You wll review all inspection reports, establish and enforce safety guidelines and procedures
You will review injury/illness and non-injury incident investigation reports. Provide follow-up as necessary.
You will be engaged with other duties as assigned by management
What you’ll need
You will need to have a thorough knowledge of DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations
You are authorized to work in the United States
You are 18 years of age or older
You will need to be have strong documentation skills and proven analytical and problem solving abilities in a changing environment
You will need experience providing safety training, and implementing safety initiatives.
You must have demonstrated experience presenting training material and leading project groups, including employees of all levels, vendors and customers.
You must have the ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work self-directed with a sense of urgency
You will need strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills
You must be proficient with PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
We prefer you have OSHA 10 or 30 hour Cert's
You must have a valid Driver’s License
