Plant Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. Recommends, develops and implements approved policies, procedures and programs to protect the company and employee interests in accordance with corporate HR policies and governmental laws and regulations. Identifies and complies with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leads the Human Resources and Environmental, Health and Safety functions in the facility to ensure a safe, secure, engaged and compliant work environment.Manages employee relations function to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures and objectives are met; facilitates and coach managers through disciplinary process, as appropriate.Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing and managing department goals, objectives, budgets and systems.Leads recruitment effort for all levels of employees, including temporary workers and contractors; works with the talent acquisition team to write and place advertisements; works with managers to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checks; extends job offers; conducts new employee orientations; monitors career-path programs and employee development counseling.Leads data analysis to improve HR policies and processes and inform organization decisions.Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory.Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continuous improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.Maintains and updates weekly, monthly and yearly KPI's and reporting requirements.Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.Manages all talent management processes, including acquisition, onboarding, talent assessment, development, and performance management.Manages annual compensation review and provides recommendations for increases according to analysis of external market data and internal equity review.Oversees payroll, including auditing processes, as appropriate, for accuracy and compliance.Leads communications throughout facility, coaching leaders on appropriate means and language, and ensuring follow-up to input received through meetings and surveys.Acts as a key member of the global HR leadership team, participating in strategic planning, analysis and special projects, as defined and agreed by the team.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Education & Experience
