SeKON is looking for an Entry-Level Data Governance Analyst to join our talented and innovative team supporting the Health and Human Services (HHS) specifically Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the primary federal entity responsible for oversight of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee data transformation processes to ensure accurate and effective data manipulation and usage.Monitor and maintain data flow across the organization, ensuring smooth integration between systems and teams.Design and implement data models that enhance the usefulness, accuracy, and accessibility of organizational data.Develop, enforce, and continuously improve data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.Collaborate with various departments to identify individuals or positions responsible for managing and safeguarding specific types of data.Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies related to data management and security.Monitor data usage and address any gaps, inefficiencies, or risks within data management processes.Act as a liaison between IT and business departments to ensure alignment on data governance strategies.Provide training and guidance to staff regarding their roles in data governance and best practices for handling sensitive information.Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to continually improve the organization's data governance framework.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a similar role.Strong knowledge of data modeling, data transformation, and data flow processes.Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data security practices, and regulatory requirements.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.Proficiency in data management tools and software.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity and security.
