TITLE: PRODUCTION MANAGER

FLSA: EXEMPT

REPORTS TO: SR. MANAGER OF PRODUCTION

SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Production, the Production Manager is responsible for ensuring all objectives are consistently attained in the areas of quality, productivity, yield, and cost; overseeing the work, training, and performance of operators, technicians, and supervisors; developing, implementing, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), including preparing and maintain production reports; and analyzing quality controls to ensure standards are met. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Oversees and directs the work of the Operators, Technicians, and Supervisors evaluates performance, establishes goals, and makes employment-related decisions such as promotions, hiring, and terminations• Ensures that all objectives are consistently attained in the areas of quality, productivity, yield, and cost• Establishes appropriate workforce targets and collaborates with Staffing and Production Supervisors to ensure that recruitment targets are met consistently• Develops, implements, and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for production and quality goals• Prepares, maintains, and presents production reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis• Measures and continuously improves compliance in all aspects of manufacturing, including Operators, Supervisors, and Technicians• Works with the equipment maintenance team to qualify and maintain tools and/or equipment; schedules repairs during production down-time to minimize line disruption• Reviews, monitors, and prioritizes multiple product flows• Responds to inquiries from other departments or groups regarding production issues• Identifies gaps in the production process and makes recommendations which reduce scrap, improve quality, and minimize cycle time• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing, or equivalent relevant experience• Five years of increasing challenging experience working in a manufacturing environment in the semiconductor industry• Two years of experience in a management or supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environment• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques• Knowledge of semiconductor industry specifically wafer fab production• Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations• Knowledge and ability to use Statistical Process Control and Lean Manufacturing techniques• Able to establish and implement KPI’s to monitor and measure production performance• Able to analyze data, create various reports, and recommend corrective action• Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and management• Able to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management• Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills• Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skills• Flexible and able to prioritize

The annual base salary for this full-time position is between $111,276.00-$163,641.00 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The annual base pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.

WORKING CONDITIONS:The Production Manager works primarily in an office environment. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to high-volume noise and/or hazardous materials such as chemicals or particulate matter. Stands and walks; performs various fine grasping movements, bends, and twists; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment. May occasionally push, pull, or lift up to 20 pounds.
