Overview

Doyon Management Services (DMS)

provides Design-Build and General Construction Services on demolition, new construction, renovations, repairs, and civil projects at government-owned facilities and military installations.

The construction

Project Manager

is responsible for project management and estimating on complex government construction projects. They strategize, lead, and coordinate activities in alignment with company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. Additionally, they supervise numerous construction projects across various locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Project manage multiple construction projects simultaneouslyLead high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring, ensuring regular feedback and timely performance appraisalsManage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potentialCultivate and strengthen assigned client relationships, establishing a "trusted advisor" roleUnderstand and administer contract and subcontract agreementsProvide leadership to positively influence changeFoster and enhance design team, subcontractor, and vendor relationsEstablish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementationWork with the preconstruction team in the development of timely project start-upManage budget, interpret financial reports, and analyze data to ensure project budget complianceUtilize and incorporate project management softwareManage the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programProvide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee, and pricing decisionsUnderstand, comply with, and advise others on Doyon's business ethics and compliance programsDemonstrate and mentor staff in maintaining high standards of professional accountability and integrityManage and oversee project field operations and engineering processes and proceduresDevelop team competencies in insurance, labor, and employee relations requirementsEnsure the enforcement of safety protocols by the project staffCollaborate with Finance on Pay Application initiation and timely paymentKeep management updated through scheduled WIP and project review meetingsPromote the use of Doyon initiatives, incorporating emerging technologies for competitive advantageLead efforts to cultivate a diverse and inclusive environmentTravel requiredOther duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required:

Bachelor's degree required in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 5 years of direct Project Management experience in commercial, civil, or federal government projectsExperience working on construction projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC)Good experience and knowledge of construction, including cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles, techniques, and accountingStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with an emphasis on ExcelProficient with project management and Critical Path Method Scheduling softwareStrong presentation skillsAbility to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedulesDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skillsPreferred:

Military construction/engineering project experienceCertification: OSHA 30, CPR-First Aid safety, EM-385-1-1Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC) certification or ability to obtain certificationLEED Accreditation

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The employee is subject to varied environmental conditions, with activities taking place both indoors and outdoors. While the majority of the work is conducted in a jobsite office and professional office setting, regular and frequent activities must also be performed at a project jobsite. Interfacing with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities, as well as with both professional and non-professional backgrounds, is required for all activities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work involves routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing up to forty pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Travel is required.

SALARY & BENEFITS : Salary range for this position is $109,094.00-$163,642.00 per year. Exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and work location. Employees are eligible to enroll in medical, vision, dental, flexible spending, employee assistance program, group and voluntary life and disability insurance and 401(k) retirement plan. Paid Time Off, 10 paid holidays, 5 bereavement and 10 jury duty paid leave.
