We are looking for:
Technical Business Development Manager-Natural Food Ingredients:
You will be closely working with the North America Sales Development manager and the Business Leader or, at a later stage, when the organization is bigger, with the S&M Manager/Director, while being part of the bigger Consumer & Resources segment organization.
The Technical Manager will be responsible for driving business development efforts in North America to achieve sustainable double digit growth in the food preservation, natural flavors and natural food ingredients sector and to manage technical activities in North America
Missions:
To grow the Business unit presence in existing and new markets
To coordinate and deliver the pipeline of initiatives and projects with customers
To manage portfolio of development projects for customers
To provide technical service to customers and to support the customer in product implementation and process adaptation problems related to Syensqo products
To build strong network in R&D community regarding natural ingredients community in the US
We count on you for:
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers through proactive communication and regular visits (around 50% of travels) to discuss commercial/technical opportunities in full autonomy
Identify, investigate and follow up on qualified leads and develop business for potential customers in key market areas
Maintain and continuously improve knowledge about products, applications and markets in the industry
Evaluate and propose innovative solutions for customer problems and coordinate with internal resources when needed to meet customer requests/demands and ensure issues are resolved
Actively participate in relevant technology innovation and development
Support and facilitate technically new product launch at targeted customers
Ensure exchange and distribution of technical information and expertise with team(s)
Prepare samples requested by customers as part of business development in less than 3 days ideally
Based on the customer's needs, study possible solutions with the aim of making samples available as quickly as possible
Be the technical support for business development in the region (study of needs, educational meeting with customers...)
To be recognized as a leading technical leader by our customers and the community we want to serve
To be the relay of understanding for the central technical service of the customer's needs (technical, supply chain...)

Master degree and minimum 5-10 years of relevant food ingredient technical experience
Hunter mindset, motivated and positive attitude

Strong prospection skills
High level of autonomy and the ability to work independently
Proven success in building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels with internal and external customers
Previous experience in a technical service role introducing new products to new customers
Having work experience in Processed Meat, Oils, Snacks & pet food/feed/fish feed industry
Extensive experince with preservatives.
You will get:
Competitive salary and benefits package
The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $119,200 to $150,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes a sales incentive plan (variable annual bonus).

Additional Information:
50% of travels (mainly USA & Canada, more rarely Mexico and LATAM)

While the Princeton (NJ) area is currently convenient for short-term needs, future developments may involve labs in other locations in NJ and a potential food lab in Stamford (CT). Therefore, candidates should be open to remote work with the willingness to travel to these locations as needed.
