Job Overview:Search Solution Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our client, a leading construction management firm serving clients in Western New York. This role is critical for ensuring that construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the high standards set by the client and the company. The Project Manager will serve as the main point of contact between the company, the owner, and the architect, overseeing all aspects of the construction process from start to completion.
Key Responsibilities:Establish and monitor administrative procedures for the project, ensuring alignment with company and owner guidelines.Coordinate with architects and owners to ensure designs are free from deficiencies and comply with codes.Collaborate with the Project Executive and Estimating teams during project startup and contract bidding.Manage the Master Activity Schedule, ensuring alignment with owner decisions, procurement timelines, and installation schedules.Maintain effective relationships with owners and architects, providing regular updates on budget and project status.Oversee the accuracy and completeness of contract documents and manage change orders through CMiC.Ensure compliance with safety programs, coordinating safety efforts with the owner when working in occupied or operating facilities.Review subcontractor submittals and change orders, ensuring timely approval and tracking in CMiC.Review all pay applications before submission to owners, verifying accuracy and completeness.Hold regular progress meetings with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and producing/distributing meeting minutes.Oversee project closeout, including punch list management and final inspections.Manage project administrative staff and support staff development through goal setting and performance evaluations.Support Human Resources in hiring and training, ensuring staff competencies are current.Requirements Include:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or related field.Master's in Business Administration is a plus.Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 4 years of project management experience on major projects.OSHA 30-hour certification required.Skills:
Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Suretrack, and database programs.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess options and implement the best solutions.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with teams and clients.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage concurrent responsibilities effectively.Additional Information:Work Environment:
Requires both office work and onsite construction management. Some physical activities include lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, and working in high or precarious places.Travel Requirements:
