The Puyenpa family of companies are comprised of multiple SBA Certified Native American Tribal 8(a) and multi-certified organizations focused on delivering Information Technology, Management Consulting, and General Construction solutions to the Federal Government along with the Commercial Sector. We are actively seeking an Information Technology Technical Project Manager based in Washington D.C. This position is primarily onsite with a possibility of a hybrid schedule. A Public Trust clearance is required with the necessary background to obtain a Top Secret clearance if needed.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Puyenpa team supporting our efforts with a component of the Department of Homeland Security. The main responsibilities of the role include:Provide project management to a full range of systems engineering and technical initiatives, with a focus on the areas of testing, implementation, and deployment.
Manage projects related to Voice, Radio, and Wireless communications, as well as other aligned initiatives such as Mobile Device Management, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP), and Enterprise-level circuit management.
Use PMP and Agile methodologies to manage projects, leveraging project tracking applications and other enterprise tools and products.
Participate in the requirements gathering and documentation process.
Participate in project planning and execution activities, including control gates.
Maintain individual project schedules and schedule forecasts.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and tact, as they collaborate with technical resources, engineering, developers, mission partners and senior officials.
Provide communication that leads to the clear understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives across all project stakeholders.
Identify risks and document project progress, including implementation, time lines, issues, risks, quality and success measures.
Execute a Project Management Plan that supports a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and guides the performance of functional activities performed on the projects.
The qualified candidate will have the following knowledge and experience:PMP, Agile, ITIL or other related Certifications (optional, but preferred).
Bachelor's degree in an IT or related field, or relevant experience.
4+ years of direct project management experience.
Proficient in project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
Experience supporting the development, test, integration, implementation, and deployment of (at least one) Voice, Radio, and Cellular communication systems, and Enterprise level circuit management.
Public Trust required, Top Secret clearance preferred.
