Our client is a prestigious boutique law firm located in the heart of Brickell, Miami's vibrant financial district. The firm specializes in providing top-tier legal services in commercial litigation. They are currently seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join their team for a three-month period. This position offers a flexible work schedule with the opportunity to work remotely for two days each week.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution.- Manage and organize case files, including electronic files and discovery documents.- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries.- Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.- Coordinate and manage eDiscovery processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and principles.- Assist with the preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials.- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as necessary.- Maintain and update case management databases and tracking systems.- Perform other paralegal duties as required to support the litigation team.
Qualifications:- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in commercial litigation.- Strong understanding of eDiscovery principles and best practices.- Proficient in legal research and familiar with legal databases and software.- Excellent organizational and time management skills.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
