Responsibilities

The Executive Director of Finance will function as the property's strategic financial business leader.

Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following:

Participate in the provision of effective strategic, financial and human resources planning and information. Research, prepare and submit the annual budget Prepare detailed reports Provide comptrollership functions in order to ensure finances are managed according to legislation, policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles Provide financial and accounting advice, direction and leadership Responsible for overseeing the General Accounting and Financial Reporting functions and the financial services area including Credit, A/R and A/P Responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies, and governmental requirements Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and objectives. Current knowledge with regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. Keep abreast of financial and accounting principles to include reporting and GAAP disclosure (CPA or MBA a plus but not required). Ability to read, write, and understand English. Excellent planning and communication skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and independent decision making skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Takes initiative and has high expectations of self and team. Ability to utilize spreadsheet and presentation software. Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, and other instructions.

Bachelor's degree with concentration in finance or accounting, or business with strong accounting skills required.

CPA license preferred.
