Process Engineer/Project Manager

As a Process Engineer - Project, you will lead projects aimed at creating a safer work environment, delivering higher-quality products, enhancing efficiency, and positively impacting the companys bottom line. You will work collaboratively across various functions, including production, quality, purchasing, planning, and maintenance, to implement and support new processes, equipment, and assembly systems.
Responsibilities
Lead projects for implementing new processes, equipment, and assembly systems.
Analyze equipment, processes, operations, and procedures to identify improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment acquisitions.
Select and implement manufacturing processes that ensure competitive production costs.
Identify and optimize current and new manufacturing processes through continuous improvement.
Partner with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment is maintained in like-new condition.
Specify tools, jigs, and fixtures required for production.
Coordinate projects and provide daily troubleshooting support.
Develop and maintain visual work instructions.
Support production and resolve process-related issues.
Focus on cost reduction through scrap, rework, and cycle time reduction.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 2 years managing capital projects involving new equipment and/or equipment systems.
CAD experience required (e.g., AutoCAD, Pro E, SolidWorks Creo).
2-4 years of project engineering experience, preferably in a metal manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of equipment and systems related to the discipline.
Proficiency in engineering principles, procedures, and lean manufacturing techniques, including capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or 6 years of relevant experience demonstrating field expertise.
