Business Systems Support Specialist

This role involves overseeing the configuration, implementation, and ongoing administration of the ERP platform, which is a comprehensive business management solution designed specifically for office equipment dealers and managed print services providers. The Business Systems Support Specialist will ensure the smooth operation of the system, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize system functionality and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
System Administration:
Configure, install, and maintain the ERP/eAutomate software system
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted operation
Manage user accounts, security settings, and access controls
Perform system upgrades, patches, and customizations as required
Conduct regular data backups and implement disaster recovery procedures
Data Management:
Manage the integrity, accuracy, and security of data within the ERP/eAutomate system
Create and maintain databases, tables, and other data structures
Import and export data from external sources, ensuring proper formatting and validation
Develop and implement data cleansing and data validation processes
Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
User Support and Training:
Provide technical support and guidance to ERP/eAutomate system users
Troubleshoot user-reported issues and escalate complex problems when necessary
Conduct training sessions to educate users on system features, best practices, and new functionality
Create user documentation, tutorials, and knowledge base articles for self-service support
System Optimization and Enhancement:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and enhancements
Evaluate and implement system customization requests to meet specific business needs
Continuously monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for optimization
Stay up-to-date with ERP/eAutomate software updates, new features, and industry best practices
Recommend process improvements and system modifications to maximize efficiency and productivity
Vendor Management:
Work with ERP/eAutomate software vendors to obtain support, resolve issues, and receive product updates
Coordinate with vendors for system upgrades, integrations, and third-party software integrations
Maintain vendor relationships and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems or a related field. (Experience can substitute)
Proven experience as an ERP Administrator or in a similar role
Strong technical knowledge of an ERP system and its functionalities
Proficiency in SQL, database management, and reporting tools
Familiarity with office equipment dealership or managed print services industry is preferred
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data structures
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
