Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems (NGDS) sector is looking for a
Mgr. Software Engineering 2
to lead a team of talented software engineers and ensure quality engineering support to programs, IRADs and new business pursuits in the Mission Planning and Decision Support (MPDS) Operating Unit. The location of this position is
Beavercreek, OH .
The selected candidate will provide functional leadership to the team, collaborating with peers across multiple organizations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to ethics and integrity. Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must.
The selected candidate will also actively participate in engineering activities related to our Intelligence, Systems, Infrastructure, Tools & Enhancements (InSITE) Program as well as other relevant Northrop Grumman Defense Systems programs. The candidate will perform Cost Account Management, be responsible for creating Monthly Status Reports, and will represent Northrop Grumman at Program Management Reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering development projects
Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) clearance
Experience in managing or coordinating the implementation and delivery of sophisticated software systems in support of Government customers
Previous experience in people and/or technical leadership roles
Experience developing cost estimates for government customers
Proposal development experience
Experience working on Agile teams
Must be an existing Northrop Grumman employee with technical program tasking or must qualify for a currently-open technical position within Northrop Grumman in Beavercreek, OH.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with subcontractors
Experience with Cost Account Management
Knowledge of NASIC contracting process and procedures
Program Management experience working with National Air Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air Combat Command (ACC) or Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
Business development experience
Experience leading a team in the Engineering department of a matrix-like organization
Experience leading engineering teams using Agile processes and continuous integration / continuous deployment processes and tools
Salary Range:
$138,100 - $207,100
