Grants Specialist

with deep expertise in federal grant-making policies, procedures, and lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of federal grant administration and management, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to ensure effective oversight and optimization of grant programs. This role requires hands-on experience developing best practices, conducting data analysis, and implementing strategic improvements in grant processes and systems. As a trusted advisor, the Grants Specialist will provide high-level vision and advice to program managers and project staff, working closely with a federal agency client to define requirements, conduct surveys, and recommend solutions.Key Responsibilities:

Provide enterprise-wide insight and guidance on federal grant-making policies, procedures, and lifecycle management.Offer strategic advice to program and project staff, delivering detailed analysis and recommendations to enhance grant management and administration.Develop and implement best practices in data collection methodologies for grant administration, oversight, and audits.Lead surveys to collect and analyze data, offering expert advice and solutions for mission-critical challenges in grant management.Consult with customers to refine requirements, define objectives, and guide complex initiatives related to federal grants.Train, supervise, and mentor staff in federal grants administration to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Lead efforts in grant policy and procedure development, including process flow, document management, and reporting.Work independently with minimal supervision, while providing strong team leadership and effectively managing risks.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-standard solutions, staying informed of new business and technical concepts to enhance grant management functions.Qualifications:

Minimum of

8 years

of professional experience in federal grants management, covering policies, procedures, and full grant lifecycle administration.Demonstrated expertise in training and managing teams in grants administration, with a focus on compliance.Experience with grants policy development, process flow, and document management.Master’s Degree

in Public Policy or a related discipline is required.

Substitution Criteria:

10 years of relevant experience with a

Bachelor’s Degree

in Public Policy or a related discipline can substitute for the master’s degree requirement.

Grants Management certification is highly desired.Desired Skills:
