Grants Specialist Subject Matter Expert (SME)

SGI Global is seeking Grants Specialist Subject Matter Expert (SME). The Grants Specialist SME is an expert in federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration throughout the full grant lifecycle. The position requires demonstrated expertise in training, supervising, and monitoring key staff members in the day-to-day administration of federal grants while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Responsibilities:Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for mission critical challenges/issues in the area of federal grant management and administration efforts.Provide insight and advice concerning strategic direction and applicability of up to date, industry standard solutions for assessments and data analysis.Responsible for developing and implementing best practices in data collection methodologies and analyses relating to federal grant administration, oversight, and audits.Consult with the client to define requirements and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.Provide high level vision to program/project manager and team members to influence objectives of complex efforts.Requirements:Demonstrated expertise with grant policy and procedure development, process flow, document management, and reporting.Detail-oriented and logical thinker.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.Ability to keep up with new business and technical concepts.Able to work with minimal supervision.Strong team leadership and risk management ability.Qualifications:Eight (8) years of relevant professional experience.Master's degree in public policy or a related discipline.Substitution Criteria:10 years of relevant experience.A Bachelor's degree in public policy or a related discipline.Grants Management certification highly desired.SGI Global provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
