Now, you have the chance to experience the fulfillment of building on our reputation for excellence.Senior Director of Performance Improvement- FinanceIn this role, the Senior Director of Performance Improvement will provide strategic direction, leadership, and daily management of NYP’s enterprise financial performance improvement program. Overseeing “HERCULES” – NYP’s annual program of operating margin improvement – and the operational benchmarking function, the Senior Director brings deep healthcare business acumen and expertise in transformation to this mission-critical function.A critical partner to operations, budget, and leaders enterprise-wide, the Senior Director uses their ability to explain, influence, and guide teams to achieve sustainable, better-practice operating efficiency and financial performance. Championing proven project management and process improvement methodologies and tools, the Senior Director will help build and sustain a culture of continuous financial improvement across the enterprise, overseeing a team of process improvement specialists and PMO analysts who embody those techniques. Measurable and sustainable financial improvement is the ultimate outcome for this leader, and their proven healthcare finance acumen will ensure it is delivered.This leader promotes collaboration across operations, finance, quality, analytics, and IT to advance enterprise-wide financial management competencies. The Senior Director brings an operator’s perspective to develop and refine analytics, metrics, and tools that practically support day-to-day sound financial management.Preferred CriteriaMaster’s Degree in Business, Public Health or Public AdministrationPMP and/or LEAN certificationFive years in hospital management and leadership rolesRequired CriteriaBachelor's DegreeTen years of hospital finance, operations or consulting services experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with individuals and teamsPersuasive leadership skills to motivate and gain active participation from management and staff on HERCULES, benchmarking and other operational/financial initiativesProven management skills to plan, execute, monitor and report progress on projectsDemonstrated understanding of hospital financial principlesJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
