You are seasoned in media relations, the client go-to, and are starting to work on account strategy while flawlessly executing a FAM or Media Mission. You play a crucial role in delivering big hits, features, and profile stories for clients, and begin taking a bigger role in helping Account Leads manage the team and leading in-person client-facing interactions. The ideal person has solid media relationships in both regional and national markets, meets with media regularly, and is constantly concepting pitch angles based on sound research to engage media.The Role

As the Account Supervisor, you are considered management at J/PR, which means you’ll have the opportunity for both tactical account management and broader leadership, offering coaching, guidance, and career support to your account teams. You’ll lead on smaller accounts, manage internal delegation, and start stepping into account strategy with a Director’s help. You’ll create year-long strategies for clients, anticipate client needs, attend FAMs and Media Missions, and focus on KPIs and bigger placements and stories.Duties and Responsibilities

Account and Client ManagementManage day-to-day client activities, including communication, research, planning, implementation, and evaluation of public relations activities.Strategically react to client needs.Lead your accounts through their 90-day goals.Lead small accounts, moving towards bigger leadership opportunities.Develop and implement creative & media worthy programs.Create strategy as an Account Lead on some accounts.Utilize Harvest to manage team members’ time and account profitability.Develop press-worthy programs and ideas for clients.Media RelationsCreate buzz-worthy collaborations or spin basic info into a bigger story.Maintain a trusted network of A+ media relationships.Team LeadershipManage account team(s), providing leadership, guidance, feedback, and coaching.Support senior leadership as needed.New BusinessParticipate in J/PR new business pitching.Industry / J/PRWeave your industry involvement into the agency's knowledge base.Develop one educational workshop each year.OtherOther tasks, projects, or duties as required.Requirements:

Ability to travel for client needs.Excellent computer skills, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills; experience in hospitality is a plus.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.Strong knowledge of media and news cycles.Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.Strong understanding of social media platforms.Foundational understanding of Influencer engagement.Polished and professional demeanor.Self-motivated with a positive nature.Must have a valid passport for international travel.Experience

College Degree or comparable experience required.At least 5 years of public relations experience in relevant fields.Agency experience a must; in-house experience is a plus.Must have stellar client and media references.Must have strong and proven relationships with media contacts.Must possess effective management skills.Benefits
