UIC has over 300,000 alumni, and is one of the largest employers in the city of Chicago.Description:Position Summary:The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking a research specialist in the Department of Pharmacy Practice with Dr. Bharath Chelluboina's laboratory supported by NIH and AHA funding.

Our laboratory focuses on developing stroke therapeutics in aging populations, with a specific emphasis on drug development for treating stroke and brain diseases in the context of kidney disease and hypertension.

https://dpp.pharmacy.uic.edu .Duties & Responsibilities:Assist with mice transfer between Lab-MRI-Animal housing facilities.Maintenance and pre/post-surgical care of mice.qPCR, western blots, and immunohistochemistry.Mouse behavioral studies and tissue collection.Collaborate with postdocs and other lab members.Maintenance of lab records and supplies.Perform data analysis and bioinformatics.Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required.
