The Program Associate will work closely with our small team, providing administrative, communications, and grants management support. In addition, they will work closely with RPDFF board members and assist with preparing board‐facing materials for up to 8 meetings per year. We seek an individual who is a self-starter, adaptable, well-organized, paying specific attention to details, and can manage multiple time‐sensitive projects.While this position has administrative aspects, the Program Associate will also observe all stages of grantmaking, attend board meetings and conferences, and assist with managing grantee relationships. We believe this is an ideal opportunity for an individual interested in learning more about trust-based philanthropy with a focus on social justice and the Foundation’s core funding areas. The Foundation also strongly believes in the professional development of all staff and will provide opportunities to attend conferences, applicable fellowships, and other skill‐building opportunities.General Administrative Support:

Manage travel, conference registrations, and other arrangements for board members.Provide support for strategy discussions and grant evaluations.Draft and edit letters, reports, and other documents.Prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes.Coordinate logistics for meetings, including room set-up and catering.Ensure team deadlines are met and able to adapt to changing priorities.Create and maintain filing systems.Provide other support, as needed, for priority projects. Lead ad hoc research and analysis projects.Skills and Experience:

Strong organizational and project management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently.Multi-tasking:

Ability to handle multiple tasks independently and manage time-sensitive projects effectively.Interpersonal and Collaborative Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of drafting and editing letters, reports, and other documents.Confidentiality:

Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Technical Proficiency:

Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and demonstrated ability to learn and understand new systems and processes quickly.Judgment and Flexibility:

Sound judgment, flexibility, good humor, and initiative.Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience in administrative or related functions.Interest in Philanthropy and Social Justice:

Demonstrated interest in philanthropy, social justice, and effective nonprofit practices; experience in these areas is a plus.LOCATION:

The position is based in Los Angeles, CA. Due to the pandemic, we are currently operating in a hybrid capacity, with staff members coming into the office at least once a week. The position requires some travel for site visits, board retreats, and conferences.TO APPLY:
