An IT Manager is a critical role in any organization, responsible for overseeing and managing the company's information technology systems and infrastructure. This includes hardware, software, networks, and all technology security requirements. The IT Manager focuses on making the company's information systems operate efficiently while researching and implementing strategic technological solutions. In addition, an IT Manager is to have a focus on cybersecurity, overseeing the organization's information technology infrastructure while ensuring robust security measures are in place. Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative. Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration. Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software. Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.
Job Requirements
4 year degree or 10 years equivalent experience in the IT field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems).
Tasks
Prepare and maintain IT procedures required in typical IT operations.
Manage and train IT department employees.
Manage resources to design, implement, and support technological solutions required in daily plant operation.
Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance and refine the IT infrastructure and security requirements.
Manage security related to IT systems and enterprise data.
Work with Human Resources to ensure appropriate security policies are defined and maintained to secure company data and enforce access control.
Review and manage IT system operating costs.
Maintain open communication with the Managing Director of Operations and support department managers in their efforts to meet departmental goals.
Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the organization's data, financial assets, and customer information.
Oversee the operational aspects of threat detection and cyber defense, staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry trends.
Respond to and manage security incidents and breaches.
Understand and apply ISO 13485 Clauses (4.2.4, 4.2.5, 5.1, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5.1, 8.5.2, 8.5.3) to applicable role responsibilities.
Understand and apply AS9100 Clauses to applicable role responsibilities.
Understand and apply ISO 14001 Clauses to applicable role responsibilities.
Follow requirements of ISO standards to maintain and improve the Quality Management System.
