Position Overview:The Utah Grizzlies are looking for a dynamic, visionary leader who thrives on building high-performance teams and driving sales while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and people-first culture to join our ECHL award winning sales team.
The Director of Ticket Sales will be responsible for developing and leading a high-performing ticket sales team that embodies the values of collaboration, customer-centric service, and a results-driven culture in conjunction with the VP of Ticket Sales. This leader will shape and execute strategies that drive ticket sales revenue across all segments, including season tickets, group sales, and single-game purchases. A key element of the role is fostering a positive, inclusive, and dynamic team culture that attracts top talent, maximizes employee engagement, and delivers exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
Manage ticket pricing strategies, including dynamic pricing and discount offers, to optimize revenue alongside VP.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of ticket sales representatives, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
Help develop and implement comprehensive ticket sales strategies that drive revenue and maximize attendance for all events.
Monitor sales performance and adapt strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Collaborate with VP, marketing, and other departments to create promotions and campaigns that enhance ticket sales and fan engagement.
Leverage data analytics to identify trends, improve sales processes, and optimize team performance.
Build a culture of continuous improvement by identifying skill gaps and providing training opportunities for the sales team.
Ensure that the sales team provides exceptional customer service, creating positive experiences for fans and clients throughout their ticket purchasing journey.
Handle escalations and complex customer service issues with a focus on problem resolution and relationship building.
Serve as a key liaison with senior leadership, providing updates on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ticket sales, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
Experience with sales technologies (CRM systems, ticketing software) and data-driven decision-making.
A passion for customer service excellence and creating positive fan experiences.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
