Who we are:
The Massachusetts Pirates are a professional football team who play in the Indoor Football League. Going into our 7th year as an organization, the Massachusetts Pirates have reached the playoffs every season and won the IFL Championship in 2021. The Massachusetts Pirates play during the spring/summer and are looking to add to their championship organization.
Position Overview:
The Director of Ticket Sales will be expected to assist management in team and individual goals as well as generate revenue by utilizing a number of different sales techniques including cold calls, professional text and e-mails, social media, in-game seat visits, networking events, and face-to-face meetings in order to sell a full menu of season-ticket packages, suites, corporate partnerships, and group experiences.
This position will be expected to service and manage all accounts they oversee. Must strive to meet or exceed individual and team goals for the organization in terms of revenue and attendance.
Responsibilities:Supervise and manage the Fan Assistance table, concourse, and main lobby for all home gamesTicket Operations: Oversee the entire sales process for the sales teamRun and interpret sales reportsCreate and implement ticketing packages and promotionsConduct meetings with sales team and local businesses on behalf of the organizationUtilize best practices for selling season, group, corporate, and football game tickets.Sell Massachusetts Pirates tickets, experiences, and suites to a wide variety of prospective buyers and provide service after the sale to those customers.Keep accurate CRM records and perform necessary follow up with customers in order to close sales.Process orders and take all necessary steps to fill out all required forms/computer documents in a timely manner in order to complete the sale and ensure the proper delivery of all package elements to the customer.Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required. All home games will be worked in various capacities: prospecting appointments, customer service tables, and game events.Build relationships in the community and expand business with current ticket holders and cold call new prospects and referrals to drive revenue.Contact businesses in the local area via outbound phone calls, appointment and event-based selling.Deliver excellent customer service and cultivate relationships with current and future fans.Represent the Massachusetts Pirates with the highest levels of character and integrity.Achieve and exceed quarterly and monthly sales goals established by management team.Meet weekly with management to evaluate results and establish the best processes and strategies for driving new business.Perform grassroots marketing activities at various locations across greater New England to drive fan development and sales lead generation.Other related duties as assigned by management or as business dictates.Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (preferably with a concentration in Sport Management)1-2 years of relevant sales experience (sport industry preferred)Strong interpersonal skillsStrong communication and customer service skillsManagement abilityComfort with making outbound phone calls in a professional and friendly manner.Strong work ethic, positive attitude and desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Organized, detail-orientedCreative thinkerCan interact successfully with groups from diverse backgroundsAbility to manage projects from start to finishPassion for creating memorable experiences for people21+ years old
