About the Role & ProgramBe a part of a dynamic team of collaborators responsible for crafting the reputation of Disney Experiences and supporting communication needs for lines of business like Human Resources, Finance, and Tech & Digital! As a Communications intern, you will contribute to integrated and strategic communication plans with content targeting employees and/or external stakeholders. This internship opportunity provides experience working with various business partners across Disney Experiences, so strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach are important. As a member of the Communications & Public Affairs organization, you may perform research to help determine engagement levels, support reputational storytelling with compelling content and visuals, or contribute to mitigation plans with key messages and reactive Q&A. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is eager to be part of a high-performing team!What You Will DoContribute to developing communication strategies that protect and augment the reputation of Disney Experiences.Draft communication plans and implement tactical plans.Write articles and produce content for internal and external communications vehicles, including employee newsletters, blog posts, social media posts, executive speaking points, key messaging, and more.Help with global and targeted email distribution.Contribute to global campaigns such as Recognition Week, Legacy Awards, Administrative Professionals Week, and many more.Help develop clever and strategic visuals across various mediums, including infographics, executive presentations, short-form videos, digital slides, and more.Please Apply If You HaveStrong organizational skills.Proven ability to work well independently or in a group and is a self-starter.Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.Good collaboration and integration skills.Experience writing for a variety of communication types (i.e., articles, emails, social copy, etc.).Well-versed in proper grammar and punctuation.Willingness to learn new software applications.Proven proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to develop PowerPoint or Keynote presentations.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities while maintaining professional poise.It Would Also Be Great If You Have/Are Familiar WithDisney parks knowledge/experience.Basic knowledge of Salesforce.Experience with WordPress or similar tools.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.EducationMust be currently pursuing, or have recently completed, a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field.Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.Required MaterialsA portfolio review is requested for this position. We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida Based Disney Interns through American Campus Communities.Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.This internship is a hybrid position - It is vital to provide a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.You are expected to work FULL-TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) during the internship.The pay rate for this internship is $22.00 per hour.
