SharePoint Developer – Contract Position

Contract Length: 6 months with the possibility of extending annually based on performance.Local candidates only or candidates willing to drive to the client site.*Candidates must come onsite to pick up the laptop, NO exceptions.*Candidates must attend ONSITE meetings whenever requested by management – will be notified in advance.The client seeks to digitize and automate current paper-based records to streamline access to information across the agency. The client is digitizing its paper-based records for storage and management in SharePoint. The client seeks a SharePoint Architect to support the digitization effort by creating and managing SharePoint sites for customers across the agency.Responsibilities:Advise customers on SharePoint features and how they apply to their unique needs.Understand and apply records management principles/rules based on individual customer requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders to create a consistent user-friendly design and implementation approach.Apply UI/UX best practices to ensure 508 compliance, adherence to client’s design standards, and provide a seamless user experience.Understand and troubleshoot security issues, customer questions, and other inquiries as needed.Understand and apply client approved standards and processes.Develop a SharePoint Records Center using retention labels to manage required retention policies, creating and managing file plans, and building simple workflows and processes.Develop solutions that comply with existing security protocols and guidelines.Identify and escalate items that are architecturally significant and thereby affect development design/approach/solution.Engage in consistent and ongoing interactions with customer subject matter experts.Facilitate training and education opportunities.Other duties as needed.Minimum Requirements:3-5 years of experience writing/building complex scripts within Power Automate/PowerFlow.3-5 years of experience with MetaData Management (Experience moving/scanning of physical record/documents into MetaData).3-5 years proficiency with Power Platform Components (PowerApps, PowerBI, Power Automate/Flow, etc.), Migration manager, etc.3 years of Record Management experience within SharePoint.5 years previous experience as a SharePoint and/or Web Developer.3 years UI experience.3 years UX experience.3 years of experience developing custom SharePoint solutions.Extensive knowledge using SharePoint Designer and InfoPath.Ability to manage Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Center.Experience with SharePoint site creation, UI/UX design, document library configuration, view creation, and metadata management.Preferred Qualifications:In-depth understanding of SharePoint in a records management, information governance, or compliance role ideally with strong Records Management know-how (2 years desired).In-depth understanding of the Microsoft Azure, Azure Active Directory, and O365 platforms (2 years desired).BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience (5 years desired).Exam SC-900: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (2 years desired).Exam MS-500: Microsoft 365 Security Administration (2 years desired).Exam: Box Certified Professional (2 years desired).
