Role Description
The CNC Programmer at Applied Aerospace Structures Corp (AASC) will utilize computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to create CNC programs from customer or internal engineering data, such as CAD models and drawings. This role requires expertise in Mastercam and a solid understanding of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. The NC Programmer plays a critical role in transforming designs into precise, machine-ready instructions to drive our CNC-controlled machines for aerospace manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
Uses computer aided manufacturing software to create CNC Machining Programs to aid in the manufacturing of flight and tooling machined components.
Maintains CNC Program revision status and archives computer files per AASC procedures.
Generates associated tool list and setup sheets for CNC Programs.
Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal.
Follows engineering data control procedures.
Requirements:
Working knowledge of CAM software: Mastercam & Verisurf.
Skilled in the use of ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Must have strong interpersonal and good communication skills.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
General level requires a Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years’ experience, or a total of 10 years’ experience in the related field, or 5 years’ experience with 5-Axis.
Senior level requires a Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years’ experience, or a total of 15 years’ experience in the related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience operating a CNC machine.
Familiarity with a manufacturing environment.
Strong experience in Autocad, Solidworks, Creo, Catia or NX.

The salary range for this role is $35.00 – $55.00 per hour. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this open role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
