Learning and Development SpecialistWe are looking for an energetic and forward-thinking Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to join our small team. This role involves not only providing critical administrative support but also taking on more advanced responsibilities in the design, delivery, and management of learning and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, comfortable with change and working independently, have a strong ability to take initiative and lead projects, and have experience with performance management and learning management systems. Essential Duties

Manage the end-to-end coordination of learning programs, including scheduling, tracking, reporting, and analysis of effectiveness.

Assist with maintaining and managing the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring that all content is up to date and accurate.

Assist in the coordination and execution of the Conversations About Performance (CAP) performance development processes, including monitoring employee progress and development and communicating data to senior leadership.

Support the design, development, and delivery of training materials, both live and on-demand, using facilitation technology and instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, etc.).

Take the initiative to streamline administrative processes and suggest new ideas for L&D programs.

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of learning initiatives.

Lead new staff orientation sessions, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience, and manage all associated administrative tasks, including scheduling, preparing materials, and tracking completion of required training.

Maintain onboarding resources and partner with applicable HR and TA partners to increase strategy and synergy of onboarding resources and communication across various stakeholders from offer acceptance to first 90 days.

Assist in planning, communication, marketing, executing, and assessing of multi-day university wide internal professional development conference. Collaborate with and support multiple internal and external stakeholders to successfully coordinate event that fosters community learning and engagement for Bentley staff and faculty.

Other Duties

Assist with the development of creative marketing approaches to publicize available learning & development opportunities to employees.

Contribute to the support of the department’s overall goals and objectives through participation in relevant meetings, activities and projects.

Acquire and maintain knowledge of courses and learning tools, products and services.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human resources, communication, marketing, business administration, instructional design, or other related field.

2-3 years of related experience.

Demonstrated effectiveness in and comfort with presentation to small and large groups in both in-person and virtual environments.

Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.

Technologically savvy with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft products, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Willingness to learn and excited about new technology.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, with a focus on empathy and the ability to persuade, influence, and build strong partnerships.

Motivated, confident, and resourceful self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines, independently and creatively problem-solve, and communicate clearly with a broad range of stakeholders.

A proactive, positive, and adaptable attitude, comfortable with change and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional design tools.

Curiosity and creativity to generate new ideas and improve learning solutions, and strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.

Understanding of performance management processes and how they contribute to employee development.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a Learning and Development or related field such as human resources, education, or training, with some knowledge of adult learning, and familiarity with HR/OD concepts and current trends.

Experience with content creation or instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, etc.).

Experience with Workday and Workday Learning.

Work Environment

Position may require some night and early morning. Ability to travel to meetings to represent the University.

Typical office environment with extensive sitting and computer work.
