About the Position: Serves as a Security Specialist, performs duties as a Government Special Access Program (SAP) Security Officer (GSSO) and Special Security Representative (SSR) in the development and implementation of SAP security procedures and operating policies as they apply to the US Army Inspector General Agency Intelligence Oversight Division (IOD).Responsibilities:Process Program Access Requests and conduct Tier review to determine eligibility for SAP access.Manage the preliminary and final reporting process for security incidents within the Department of Army Inspector General (DAIG).Manage the completion of corrective physical security actions and analyze trends in security incidents.Conduct annual refresher training of briefed personnel on Special Access Program (SAP) security requirements, proper document classification and markings, and security clearance waivers.Requirements:Conditions of Employment: Qualifications Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. One year of specialized experience which includes: implementing security procedures for a special access program (SAP); adjudicating complex personnel security clearances; and identifying and reporting security violations in accordance with applicable security reporting procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).Education Additional Information:
