The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a proven track record in driving revenue, Brand and LQA standards, and fostering a luxury service culture. As General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the hotel's Venues by overseeing day-to-day operations, developing training programs on delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the overall growth of the establishment.What you will be doing:Team Leadership and Development:Work in partnership with Jetside, Globe@YVR, In Room Dining and Banquets to execute flawless operationRecruit, train, and mentor, ensuring a positive and motivating work environment, ensuring a guest-centric mindsetConduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedbackEmpower and support colleagues to resolve guest issues promptlyRevenue Generation:Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive revenue and maximize profitability, while collaborating with the marketing team to create promotions and social eventsEnsure forecasting accuracy and strategies to strive to achieve financial budget, analyze reports, find growth areas, optimize salesImplement effective cost control measures of all food, beverage, labor and operating expensesLeading Quality Assurance Standards:Uphold the highest standards of excellence, as set by the Brand and LQASustainability, Health, and Safety Compliance:Actively participate in the Fairmont Sustainability Program, Food Safety Committee and determine department-specific action itemsMaintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff implementing best practices related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safetyYour experience and skills include:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within a luxury restaurant or hotel settingEntrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesProven track record in driving revenue and achieving financial targetsStrong understanding of LQA standards and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiencesExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse teamExceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards in all aspects of the restaurant's operationAbility to work effectively with programs including Microsoft Office, Open Table, Opera and SilverwareAdept at problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolutionKnowledge of the local culinary scene and trendsMust possess and maintain valid Serving It Right certificationBachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferredVisa Requirements:
