Job DescriptionAs the Director of Food & Beverage, you are the Executive Committee Member responsible for the day to day operations and strategic direction of our Food & Beverage Division. You will lead a talented team of food & beverage professionals in a luxury resort environment while fostering a culture of excellence.What is in it for you:Premium preferred provider medical/drug/vision benefits at competitive prices.We put you first & value you with employer paid coverage for group life and accidental insurance coverage (1x annual salary) + Coverage is available for your ‘ohana!We believe that hospitality has the power to unlock a better tomorrow with our 401(k)/retirement saving plan & matching program.Don’t just live in the moment – own your moment with 15 paid holiday/personal days per year + 10 days of paid vacation that begin accruing immediately!Incentive Bonuses are available to inspire creativity & dedication to deliver exceptional experiences.We go the extra mile by offering 50% discounts at hotel restaurants, 50% discount on retail items at our Fairmont Store & 30% discount of services offered in our Spa Without Walls.We are globetrotters taking advantage of our Travel Program with unlimited employee discounts at Accor properties + Friends & Family rates (5,000+ hotels worldwide)!Complimentary meals in our employee dining facility.What you will be doing:Drive divisional financial objectives by preparing budgets, monthly forecasts; effectively controlling labor & operating expenses, driving topline revenue, analyzing variances & initiating corrective action.Maintain guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, service offering and standards; implementing and holding leaders accountable to improvements and strategic plans.Foster a positive work environment resulting in colleague and leader engagement through consistent communication, garnering feedback and actioning measurable improvement plans.Consistently drive innovative promotions, activations, menus, concepts and marketing efforts in partnership with the Sales and Marketing division.Control purchases and inventory by partnering with the Executive Chef and the purchasing department.Oversee the selection, training, development and career growth of Food and Beverage leaders.Prepare and enforce standard operating procedures within Food & Beverage that align with hotel policies.Ensure all Fairmont brand standards and programs are in place and maintained.Ensure that sanitation, cleanliness and maintenance of the Food & Beverage venues, event spaces, kitchens & public spaces exceed expectations.Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as ensure the team has a complete understanding of the emergency procedures for the hotel.Contribute to the improvement of the overall hotel operation by contributing ideas, making suggestions, soliciting feedback and actively participating in departmental communication meetings.Actively drive and promote the Fairmont Orchid’s environmental program and division specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations.Assist in the preparation of the annual strategic plan and achieve the goals and targets therein.Collaborate with other departments, leaders, colleagues and community to contribute to the overall luxury operation of the hotel.
QualificationsYour experience and skills include:Strong F&B Operations Experience with overall minimum 5 years of experience in Luxury resorts and minimum 2 years in a similar role.High volume hotel experience is desirable.Creative mindset, comfortable taking charge of projects and expanding scope of responsibilities.Outstanding Social & PR skills to develop strong customer engagement.High volume and high quality Banquet, Outdoor Catering, All day dining, theme bars and fine dining exposure is required.Great networking with Wedding and MICE Planners.Sommelier or Mixologist training is an advantage.Experience with an unionized environment is an advantage.
Additional InformationSalary Range:
$170,000 USD - $190,000 USDVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
