Description:

The Accounts Payable Manager will work with the Director of Finance to implement systems needed to support substantial growth over the next five years. The Accounts Payable Manager supervises and manages AP staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs, ensures project/department milestones are met adhering to approved budgets, manages day-to-day compliance, accounting system management, and input. The Accounts Payable Manager will also be involved in strategic planning, evaluation, and professional development initiatives, as well as planning for expansion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage financial system(s) including accounts, vendors, and sub-contractors.

Manage transaction reporting systems for vendors, contractors, and other parties.

Day-to-Day Accounting Activities related to A/P and all related follow-up.

Ensure departmental onsite coverage and planning for check runs and other in person required work.

Manage aging payables and ensure all cash disbursements are handled in accordance with CRCD policies and procedures.

Prepare standard and adjusting monthly journal entries related to accounts payable.

Participate in ad-hoc accounts payable analysis as requested by the Director of Finance and other finance management.

Manage and lead AP staff; provide resources for training and foster a learning environment.

Manage quality control of AP data integrity and professional records retention.

Work with the Director of Finance and other finance management to establish written accounts payable procedures and then be responsible for maintaining the formal accounts payable procedures.

Serve as backup for processing accounts payable checks.

Assist with preparing annual audit schedules.

Assist with any government audit that may occur.

Gather all necessary financial reporting to Federal, City and other agencies, as needed.

Support Grant Accounting with pulling requested back up supporting documentation for invoices.

Coordinate all audit activities.

Requirements:

3-5 years’ experience and BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or extensive work experience in lieu of degree such as 5-8 years’ experience in related work.

Experience managing, training, and leading a team of AP staff.

Demonstrated experience in non-profit allocation methodology.

Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and to meet deadlines.

Proficient in NetSuite and Sage MIP or other non-profit fund accounting software

Self-Starter, detailed oriented, organized, analytic, able to prioritize multiple deadlines.

Good organization, documentation, and time management skills

Excellent Math skills

Technologically savvy, with an ability to point to examples of having worked with IT staff to develop and implement new processes and systems that increased efficiency in a fast- moving environment.

Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented.

SALARY RANGE

$70,000 - $80,000
