Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller with a productive and hands-on approach to lead our accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This role requires a strong commitment to tackling challenges head-on, with a focus on managing aspects of financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of the general ledger (GL), including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budget-to-actual variance analysis.Lead the annual financial audit process and act as a liaison with external auditors.Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.Oversee inventory management accounting, ensuring proper valuation of inventory, and alignment with GAAP standards.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including tax filings and other statutory obligations.Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting staff to foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture.Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and systems, leveraging accounting software expertise to streamline workflows.Work closely with the VP of Finance and the Executive team to develop and implement long-term financial strategies for the company.Utilize ERP system for financial management, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and reporting.Stay current on changes in accounting standards and practices to ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).CPA designation or CPA candidate required.10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger management, auditing, and inventory management.Extensive experience with financial reporting and GAAP.Strong knowledge of inventory accounting practices and procedures, including inventory valuation.Proficiency in Intuit QuickBooks for managing financial operations.Strong knowledge of accounting software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.A solutions-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and operations management.
