Inventory/Cost Accountant

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this role will be responsible for managing and analyzing the financial aspects of the company inventory and cost operations. The successful individual will support the manufacturing facility by ensuring accurate costing, inventory valuations and financial reporting. The individual will contribute to effective decision making for company growth and cost optimization. We are looking for a driven Inventory/Cost Accountant that is passionate about this profession and wants to contribute to one of the world’s global leaders in liquid cooling for data centers, edge, and high-performance computing.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains accurate and up to date records of inventory transactions including receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments.Performs regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.Reconcile variances between physical inventory and the accounting system.Monitors inventory levels and ensure proper valuation using appropriate cost methodologies, such as FIFO, LIFO and weighted average.Develops and maintains standard costs for manufactured products.Tracks, analyzes and reports on cost variances including material, labor and overhead.Performs cost analysis for new product launches, production changes and process improvements.Prepares and presents accurate financial reports for inventory, costs of goods sold and production costs.Supports month end and year end closing processes by reconciling inventory and cost accounts.Assists in budgeting and forecasting inventory and manufacturing costs.Identifies opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, reduce costs and optimize manufacturing processes.Collaborates with the production, supply chain and procurement teams to streamline inventory management and cost control.Acts in a manner consistent with LiquidStack’s core values and according to LiquidStack’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethical Behavior.Complies with standards and procedures of LiquidStack’s health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting and/or related fields.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inventory and cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge in inventory management principles and cost methodologies.Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Self-starter that can be hands-on and able to work independently.Multicultural approach, comfortable working with diverse cultures and mind-sets.Appreciation for working in a global organization with teammates in different time zones/regions.Special Conditions of Employment
