ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Experience with managing costs; including tracking of quantities for production operations and materials. Experience with managing and tracking subcontractor work including progress and preparation of subcontractor progress estimates. Experience with writing and managing RFI’s and Submittals. An understanding of Contract documents and associated requirements for change orders, requests for compensation, and time extensions. Experience with P6 schedules and monthly updates. Experience on bid-build unit price and lump sum projects with an understanding of the measurement and payment requirements. Document any delays and/or changes to scope of work. Support and maintain as-built drawings. Coordinates with project superintendents regarding daily schedules including people, equipment, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. Acts as a liaison between project management and field employees on schedules, changes in scope of work, and conflict resolutions. Understands and follows MBE/WBE/DBE requirements. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Assures compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA safety standards. Multi-tasks and stays focused on the big picture while addressing daily issues. Help coordinate project sub-contractors for timely completion and quality. Requirements: Excellent communication skills are required. Ability to listen, engage, and influence is vital. 5-10 years experience working on public works projects with both field and office responsibilities is required. Excel--Ability to navigate spreadsheets, and utilize Excel as a tracking system required. A Driver’s License in good standing is required. Preferences: Prior experience working in the L.A. region is preferred.
